Basketball in Tampere

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does basketball cost in Tampere?

Basketball clubs are largely volunteer-run, so costs are moderate: a season usually runs from around one to a few hundred euros, with older competitive teams and game travel adding more. Exact fees are listed on each club's own page.

What age is basketball suitable for?

Children can usually start mini-basketball from around ages six to eight, with some clubs offering playful introductory groups even earlier. Teams are then organised by birth year so children train and play with peers of a similar age and stage.
