Art games – a space for playing – Children aged 0–2 with an adult
In art games, we set off on a journey – our imagination can take us anywhere! Games starting at 9.40, 10.20 and 11.00. The play time is approximately 20 minutes per session. No registration required; each session has room for the first 15 children and their accompanying adults. You can pick up a free ticket for the sessions at the information desk, and Café Napero serves as the waiting area – both are on the ground floor of Annantalo. You can also have something to eat at the café before and after the games. Please note that during the guided session, you will take part with your own child. At the playground, we'll enjoy the fun of imaginative play with changing themes. In the 'Today We Play!' activities, children and adults can dive into the world of games and imagination. Families, together with the session leaders, will build inviting play environments: a shop, a harbour, a home play area, a traffic city, animal nests, and all sorts of other things. Themes change with the seasons and according to participants' wishes. Kids will find playmates, and while they play, parents can get to know other families. Children and parents can help plan and run the activities with the session leaders. You can warm up your own food and make coffee or tea.
Welcome to the playground from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. From 10 AM to 11 AM, there will be activities for families with babies, such as baby circus or colour play. Register by emailing lp.kannelmaki@hel.fi.
On Wednesdays, we head outside to move and play! There will be varied outdoor activities, shared games, and things to do for toddlers of all ages. We'll jump, run, explore the surroundings, and enjoy the fresh air together. You can come just as you are – the most important thing is the joy of doing things together! Program changes are possible. On Wednesday, September 16th, there's an Early Childhood Education info session starting at 10:30 AM. Photography will be on Wednesday, November 11th, from 9 AM to 2 PM. Programmes and schedules for other sessions are always posted in advance on our social media channels. No advance registration needed.

The playground's family exercise is a joint activity for children and parents. We'll practice children's basic motor skills by moving in different ways and using various equipment, like balls.

Our baby classes are for mini circus superstars who have lots of energy and want to gain strength, coordination, dexterity, and more. We teach classes for children aged 6 months - to 1 years where they then join our Circus Sensory Classes with elements of acrobatics, and phycomotricity, among others. Our program builds confidence and resilience not only in the kids but also in the parents/tutors who are involved in the activities and performing a big part of the course objectives. Note: Parents or tutors are required to perform physical movements with their kids and is imperative to practice at home the exercises and tricks for the optimal result. Come to Tapanilan kirjasto on Wednesdays to play! Once a week, the library hosts an afternoon program for schoolchildren, with board games and Nintendo Switch available.
