The events in Gaza are shaking the world. Politicians and the media are closing their eyes. Ordinary citizens feel powerless. What is it all about? KOM-teatteri's new autumn production is a direct and startling report on why Western countries look away when they should intervene. The performance, tinged with dark humour, offers factual information for anyone who has felt confused by world politics. Director Susanna Kuparinen is a multi-award-winning scriptwriter, journalist, and pioneer of documentary theatre, whose previous works have shaken both decision-makers and audiences. In her works, theatre is a conveyor of information and an arena for public discussion. Now, Kuparinen, together with journalist Maria Pettersson and the KOM-teatteri ensemble, brings perhaps her boldest work to the stage. In it, the collapsing world order and Finnish politicians invade news screens.
The Pirkanmaa Music Institute concert will feature flute, saxophone, accordion and piano students, with a wide range of ages and a diverse repertoire. Free admission, duration approx. 75min.

'Pyörre' (Whirl) is a contemporary circus performance suitable for the whole family, where Eetu Ranta takes the audience on a wondrous journey with spinning objects and acrobatic choreographies. Combining various objects and circus disciplines, the piece is a collection of successive wordless stories – movements, moods, and images. They are united by a swirling motion that draws in the performer and objects, sound and light. The performance features toys and tools used around the world, whose handling requires skill and knowledge of the effects of physical laws on movement. Originally made from natural materials, tools such as a Nigerian rascal top made from a snail shell, a South American lasso, and an East Asian diabolo come to life in a completely new way in the performance. Eetu Ranta & Circo Aereo Contemporary Circus Performance Pyörre. Performance and choreography: Eetu Ranta. Design: Eetu Ranta and Maksim Kom.

DA DA SUR A joyful dive into imagination! Can a clothespin be a bird? Can a box create a character that can cry and laugh? Of course! Da Da Sur is a wonderful journey into the subconscious and creativity. On stage, familiar objects transform and soar like birds into the sky or come to life through animation. During this gently flowing performance, even adults can relax. Da Da Sur's theme tune is the world's most pleasant earworm, which will stay in your mind long after the performance ends. Da Da Sur is a wordless and experiential dive into the world of Dadaism and Surrealism through object theatre. The performance is suitable for children and adults. You can come and see the performance regardless of your native language. At the end of the performance, the audience can explore the imaginative stage sets and objects more closely and try them out themselves! Audience comment: 'Amazing performance! Magnificent! Incredible! Unparalleled! S'
